Yay! My long awaited prizes arrived today in the mail.  These were my wins from two blog giveaways that I joined.

Speaking of blog giveaways, I recently discovered the  Giveaway Scout which is a giveaway search engine. I think this is a cool idea - although my blog is not primarily for product reviews and giveaways, I do occasionally host those.  I think this would greatly help bloggers hosting giveaways get more exposure and contest entrants.  Additionally, this would  be useful for those who wish to be alerted to new and exciting blog giveaways going on.

COVERGIRL Mascara Review & $10 Walmart GC Giveaway

I received a sample of the COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara  in black from  BzzAgent to review. It came in a blue purple tube and  boasts of a fiberstretch lengthening formula and an oversized voluming brush to create longer and fuller lashes.  I have tried a couple of mascaras in the past and so I was curious to see how different this product would be from the rest of the lot. 

My experience:  I DID notice that my eye lashes were fuller and slightly longer.  However, in terms of its lengthening properties, it did not seem to be distinctly better than other mascaras that promise to do the same.  But then again, it delivered  what normally two mascaras would - lengthen and increase the volume of your lashes.  What I like the most about this product  is that  my eyes did not turn watery nor itchy (which is what happens with some mascaras I have tried in the past despite being "hypo-allergenic). I also like that my lashes did not clump together which often occurred when I used other brands.  It did not smear and  my lashes also did not feel heavy nor dry. Overall, applying it was quick and easy which is perfect for my busy lifestyle.  Rinsing it off was also not difficult - it was easily washed off when I washed my face with water and my regular facial wash.

The COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara  comes in Very Black, Black, BlackBrown and Brown.  You can purchase it from any leading supermarket or stores in your areas for a suggested retail price of $ 8.99.
